Lutheran Social Services of New England
Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is one of the largest social service organizations in New England. We combine personalized, compassionate care with high standards of clinical sophistication and operational excellence to deliver a broad variety of services to children, youth and families; persons with developmental disabilities, mental illness and Deafness; the economically disadvantaged; refugees and older adults. In keeping with our mission, we serve and care for people in need, regardless of background or belief.
What is Lutheran Social Services
One of the many services offered by Lutheran Socal Services is the Antrim Girls Shelter. The Antrim Girls Shelter was established in 1988 with the purchase of the historic George C. Duncan House in the village of Antrim. The Antrim Girls Shelter provides girls between the ages of 11 and 17 with a safe, caring, and compassionately challenging environment where they can gain confidence, learn skills to become productive citizens, and start healing the wounds that brought them there.
